About HollyKiss House~
HollyKiss House is the reestablishing of "Hotchkiss House", founded in 1900 by Perry Hotchkiss as one of Hudson Valley's first full service resorts. Nestled at the intersection between the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains just 2 hours north of New York City, HollyKiss House is a haven away from big city chaos, but close enough for easy access. Originally an 8 bedroom inn with a dining hall, the main house has been fully renovated into a private residence with guest rooms. Many locals fondly remember the old Hotchkiss House as a hotbed of activity in glory days gone by.
Along with the original inn house, the estate also sported a 2,500 sq. ft. authentic log cabin bar and casino. Made from real logs from local trees, this vintage ghost from the past hosted many musical bands, talent shows, and a few bar room brawls. Untouched for 40 years, it is a relic with a rousing history. It is the inspiration of many film and television shows, and perfect for film locations and history buffs.
​Also included in the estate is the Red Barn, where the upstairs room and loft once accommodated the cabin-bar's evening entertainers including rock bands and talent shows from the 1970's who made their way up from NYC. Perfect for meetings or kids from all ages to let off steam. Available as an added extra for guests staying at the house.
See that little house in the photos? That's the poolside Snack Shack. The below ground swimming pool was filled in decades ago, but the renovated Snack Shack still stands. Perfect for meetings, and shelter near the patio/bbq area.
One of the most amazing features of HollyKiss is the property itself. Comprised of 9.6 acres of lush meadow and forest, bounded on both sides by a seasonal stream, with an abundance of wildlife including a symphony of birds, daily deer visitations, rabbits, squirrels, red fox, porcupine, and the occasional black bear to name a few. ​
Located thirty minutes from Albany International Airport; 18 minute drive from the Hudson Amtrak train station; and less than a two hour drive from New York City. ​​​
